55 Gallon Dirt Substrate Community Tank

Just wanted to share a few pics of my first aquarium..

3 ft tank

9 Harlequins
8 Corys
4 Bristlenose
15 Neons
3 Dwarf Gouramis
3 guppies (newest addition, why not)..
and about 6 or so plant species..

What do we think ? I'm super happy for my first tank. It's about 8 months old now.

Nice

Only one of your 3 gouramis is a dwarf gourami. The two yellowish ones are something else, no honey gouramis either.

Oh really ? Hmm, they were all together in the same tank at the fish store. I assume they came from the supplier advertised as female DG's. The 3 all behave well together and send out their feelers to touch each other etc. I'm pretty sure they're all DG's unless I'm missing something ?

I wouldn't keep three males together, so pretty sure it's 1xm and 2xf..

If you are so sure google the gold or sunset strain of the Thick-lipped Gourami (Trichogaster labiosa)

Very nice pics. Thanks for the great sharing. If you ever face Pond/tank leak problem then pondpro2000 is the best solution I recommend.
