I'm not new to the hobby I just didnt know where to put this. I want to make myself a 300 to 500 gallon predetor tank. I want it to be a predetor tank. I wanted suggestions on what fishies. And what can be kept together. I dont want just one off. But multiple different species. So any suggestions here?

Peacock bass ? Pacu? Piranha, if I had a giant tank think that’s what I’d be doing lol

Saratoga, barramundi, or jungle perch if you can find them in exotic fish stores,
they are from Australia though so might be hard to get

i have been after Jungle Perch for ages and my fish store finally got them! :)

Freshwater or salt water?

What are the tank dimensions (length x width x height)?

What is the GH (general hardness), KH (carbonate hardness) and pH of your water supply?
This information can usually be obtained from your water supply company's website or by telephoning them. If they can't help you, take a glass full of tap water to the local pet shop and get them to test it for you. Write the results down (in numbers) when they do the tests. And ask them what the results are in (eg: ppm, dGH, or something else).

No bass, they get soooooo big. Sorry :(.

You could go 3 or 4 oscars depending on your parameters.
How big do they grow ? There is one in a local fish store kept with a silver arowana and roughly the same size around 2ft in length it’s a beautiful fish I talk often to one of the workers he says to clean the tank they have to pin it in a corner with a wire net as it’s drew blood many times lol

They can get 3 and a half feet long lol. They are BEASTS, I caught one once and it was crazy strong.

Basically, not really for an aquarium hehe.

depending on tank specs and budget and Asian Arowana and some small fresh water stingrays like The KIng of DIY does would be cool

it all depends on tank size and temperature. I would not keep an Arowana in a pond as it gets too cold but if I had a large tank it would work. HoldenOn are you thinking about aripimer.

I hope you realize this is a 500 gallon tank. Not a small aquarium. Its basically a pond in an aquarium. Lol

Aswell a peacock bass can go in a 150 gallon. I'm talking about a 500 gallon. 3 or 4 Oscar's wouldnt be enough in it. It's like 3 or 4 neon tetras in a 30 gallon. Haha
