5 And 20 Gallon Planted

looking good mate,

try taking pics of the CT's just before lights out. mine seem to slow down around 9.30 (1 hour after dinner and 30 mind before bedtime) that may just be mine but worth a try.

Nice update, very impressive growth in 10 days or so, i think your well and truely back on track houndour, both tanks are looking really good, i love the botia striata fishy, never seen one of those around these parts.

How much did that light cost? If you dont mind me asking. I have a 5 Gal. tank i would like to do the same with. Very nice tanks. I thought the 5 gal was a typo until i saw the heater in the back. :D

The 5 gallon has Interpet compact T5 lighting (24W daylight bulb). I got the tube and starter for about £20 I think from surrey pets online, but that doesnt help as you are from canada. If you're going to use that amount of light I strongly recommend keeping up the CO2. I've started refilling my CO2 now and things are OK. But if I get lazy and want a low maintenance tank I shall get a new light (prob 18W). Also I'm only running the lights for 4 hours on, 4 off and 4 on. I did this when I had bga and havent switched back to the 5 on, 5 off, 5on. Since things are OK and algae free I'm reluctant to change anything.

 the heater is a bit of a giveaway!
