4X54W T5

Hi James,

A slight change of plan I now have a 60x18x24 Godiva executive in Aida Walnut arriving...........tomorrow!! It was one that a customer returned due to some very slight cosmetic blemishes (which I'm not worried about as fairly easy to rectify) so I got it for £300 less than retail :D

I picked up my light unit today also, a Lightwave 4x54w pendant - here

With the money I saved on the tank I got a few other bits to help get the new tank up and running quicker :)

Simon

Oh you lucky so and so. £300 is a lot of money saved, how bad are the marks?

Light looks cheap, what bulbs are you planning on running in it? Whats the plan for spending the money you saved then? Exciting times.

Also, remember we are a picture demanding bunch so dont forget!!

Theres only one thing im going to say about your upgrade is plenty of pics.

Well, the laminate on the pelmet is slightly lifted so just needs gluing, and the only other noticeable marks are where the sump was smashed in transit and chipped inside the cabinet (not bothered by these I'll just seal them). :)

Oh and it doesn't have a sump just yet as there is one being made for it.

I went on a mad spree after making the saving, I've got pics of everything I'll put on my new project thread later ;)

The light is cheap and cheerful but seems well made, a guy on UR is running his gorgeous SPS tank under an 8 tube version so I thought I'd give it a go - re: bulbs I am thinking a couple of blues, a 14k and something in the lower K range? Not too sure yet :)

Can do mate

Why go for the lower range bulb? Just go for a look that you will like the colour of. The light does look good, shame they only do the 24w version as a 2 or 4 tube unit.
