Soooo i am about to do the final clean up of this tank ready for its new look. Once its clean i'll try to take some pics of the setting up progress. Stay tuned :)

So hardscape is basically in (some may change yet). I have planted only the val as i knew exactly where i wanted it to go. Also planted a few swords who were very unhappy at being stored in a container for a week or so. I have just turned the canister on and once the tank clears a bit i'll take a photo, then i will start planting some other bits and pieces.

I also changed the tubes in the lighting as the others were getting very sad, looks much nicer with the new ones in.

following! and looking forward to seeing what you've done with it :)

Still cloudy, but a pic to give a bit of an idea on hardscape

oh wow ... once that clears it's gonna look stunning. What fish are you adding to it?

Yeah i am happy with it....still got more planting to do. Eventually the entire foreground will be planted also

I am hoping to stock with rainbows

are you going for something like lilaopsis at the front? give it the carpet effect?

Will be planting HM as foreground, i have a supply of the stuff from the 2.6ft

I'm sure it'll look fantastic :D

All the background plants are planted, just need to grow in. Will be trimming the HM in the 2.6ft tomorrow, so will start planting the foreground (fully planting it will take many weeks)

Moved the Crimson spotted rainbows into the tank as currently this is unheated (need to buy a new 300W heater)

have you got access to external heaters in Oz? I have one (a Hydor) on my external canister filter and I wouldn't be without it. I don't miss looking at a heater in the tank!

Yep we have external heaters, too expensive. I dont mine the internal heaters, they can be hidden in many cases, certainly will be in this tank

ahh I see. well hopefully you can disguise it well and it won't spoil the look of that stunning scape :D

Easy to hide in this tank, once those plants grow in you wont see anything at the back but a plant wall lol
