This tank is currently home to a single small fantail goldy, who is destined for another tank

I am thinking of stocking this with about 11-12 small angels with some platys as dithers (and free fry food for the angels), will depend though on what fish are available when i am ready to stock

Tank looks amazing ! Can't wait to see it with ur fish in ! How long did it take to scap, can ou remember ?

Thanks PM. Simple as this, only took about 40min if that

Spectacular example of what you can do with fake plants.  Looks beautiful! ;)

Very nice indeed, liking it a lot, just shows what anyone can do with a bit of imagination.

Yep fake plants can look just as effective as live, and a lot less work! I wanted to create a tank that could house cichlids (other than angels or discus) if i wanted. I really wanted to see how a fake planted tank could look, and i must say i really really like it!

I do however still like real planted tanks too, as i have 1 fully and a few with sparsely planted lol

Yeah tis deceptive...I have added a few more plants to this now

Soooo i might have had a win....i pulled down the canister today, gave it a good clean, reassembled, and it so far, appears to not be leaking. Will keep an eye on it for the day and pray!! Heater also now in tank. The tank is currently now uncycled, but i can fix that once i know the canister is not leaking (will put put half seeded media in it)

Still no leakage that i can see....fingers crossed!

The tank however is as cloudy as, bit of a major bacterial bloom me thinks!

I will, thanks Plumber.

The cloudiness is annoying me, so Boxing day i'll drop a otto internal in there full of carbon, that should clear it up. Might see if i can get my hands on some Macropore, the will be a fishkeeper here in town who i can purchase some through

Will do a proper test on the water tomorrow, but a quickie tells me there is no NitrIte, and less than 20NitrAte, but i need to check for Ammonia. If its ok, i'll pick up some feeders to keep it ticking over until have the permanant stock ready

Canister has cleaned this tank up beautifully, ended up not putting the Otto in.

Tank is getting a few inhabitants tomorrow, so i did a full test on it to make sure its still good, as its been left fishless for around 10 days now, and the canister was turned off for around 5 weeks or so, before being pulled down and washed in town water (it was feral lol)

So results are

PH: 7.4 - 7.6
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 5

Very happy with that!
