42 Gallon Tank

I just went to my lfs and saw the 405 and 305,and it says that the 305 can go for a 70 gallon and the 405 for 100 gal,are you sure the 305 isn't good enough?

they really dont have a clue with how big a tank they can do. you want about a 10x turnover a hour ive got the 404 and that dose 1300lph and i think the 405 dose the same so that would be fine for your tank.

Ok well my birthday is coming up so I shoud be getting around £80-£100 and by then I woul of moved upstairs and could start on the tank immiediatly so I could probably get the 405.so I can move on to planning th stocking.Would banjo cat fish work? or rainbow cichlids? or fire mouths? or even spiny eels? adding stuff as i go bosemani rainbow fish? bleeding heart tetra? red tailed shark? twig cat fish? obviously not all together
