40G breeder stocking

Not sure on what to put in my 40g breeder except a few super red plecos I already have, I know I’m gonna put some type of schooling fish in there, but not sure. I do want a centerpiece fish though. this tank is going to be planted so I’ll definitely need something that wont eat the plants. If u have any ideas let me know

If you want a hardy South American cichlid for a centerpiece and have the right water then how about an electric blue Acara or a group of keyhole cichlids.
