$400.00 Fish?

Motoro Rays cost around 1500$ here in aus.

Senegal Birchirs about 450$ at LFS to a low of around 270$ private.

TSN's= 550$

Alligator GArs=800$

Aussies have it tough when it comes to pricing.

yeh but atleast its hot and you dont need tank heaters :rolleyes:

Are the prices in au dollars though?

You shouldn't need aquariums anyway, the sea is so beautiful where you are get a snorkel instead.

I think the most expensive fish I seen/read about was a pearl arrowana (or summit like that) in PFK and it going for something like £100,000.00

Thats a pricey fish, I'd pay a few hundred if I could breed them and not just look at them.

i see flowerhorn cichlids by me for $300 ech and i think thats expensive but fish for $1000 and over even $200 is expensive. the most i spent on a fish was $40 and i thought that was to much

The most expensive fish we have in work is a small arowana which is £60. I recently paid over £100 for a fish which was a true bargain as it should have been worth 3 times what I paid.

Other than that the most I have paid for a fish is £90 for a small marine angel fish.

at my lfs it depends on SW or FW. for saltwater the dragon eel that was 3000 was the highest. in FW discus there are pretty expensive somewhere from 150$-200 for a nice one. also the have gars there for like 100 and a motoro stingray for i think 290.

You know you ENGLISH have cheap prices....
I paid close to $400 CDN for my male motoro ray.
He is captive bred and dark like CFC's female.
Yeah, trying to find quailty fish on this side of the pond is expensive :grr:
