Greetings. Lots of activity in the fish room. My C. simulatus laid over 100 eggs in the past 2 days. Only their second spawning.

My CW009's (Green Lasers) spawned for the first time, but the eggs do not appear to be viable. That is not surprising as it sometimes takes a few attempts for them to get it right. Can you say live black worms, every day???

My beautiful C042's have spawwned for the first time. About 40 eggs. Was very surprised at how small the eggs are for such a large fish.

Last but not least, one of my C. weitzmani groups gave up 56 eggs, of which 55 appear viable. This is the largest spawning I have ever gotten from this specie and is quite exciting. I really love this fish.

Should see some C. duplicareus eggs in the next 48 hours and possibly some C. venezuelanus, too. - Frank

Frank, Congratulation you are the winner this winter. So you need to expand your fish room bigger to handle all the babies. :shout: :shout: :shout: :hyper: :hyper: :good: :good:

Wow, congrats Frank :hyper:

That is just brilliant news. You're going to have your hands full with all those cute little babies. Hope the Green Lasers get it right soon. Would be brilliant to see baby green lasers (especially with your great photographic skills).

:good:

Thanks, one and all. Oh, and PC1963, I have plenty of room and extra tanks. What I don't have is time and help. :S - Frank

If l live near by or even half hour drive I will helping you but three hours away   a little far for me. I know a lot of works even I got less than 10 tanks [large and small] it is still take my half day to water change and maintain. But you enjoy doing and you get good results a lot of Babies :shout: :shout: :shout: :shout: make eveyone envy.

But you must spend a day taking lots of snaps of the babies w/close ups for us.
Hi and thanks. I rarely get the time to shoot what I haven't already shot, so I rarely reshoot anything I've already shot. Except for size comparison, if you've seen one piccy of a Cory egg, or very young fry, to me, you've seen them all. I rarely shoot fry before 30 days, any longer. I probably have 20 species in my tanks that I have not shot, yet, so I am trying to concentrate my efforts, there. There's even been a few times that I have promised to post a pic for someone here, and still haven't gotten it shot. They're in the photo tank, though.

So, in an effort to satisfy, here is a nice close-up of a baby Cory. Enjoy. - Frank
