Right i have a tank that is 4.5 US gallons (im in the UK but it only has the US gallonage on it)
I could have in the basic set up (without salt, hydrometer... etc)

-The tank
-Heater
-Powerheads
-2-3KG liverock
-Sand
-A table lamp(or something for light)
-Have i missed anything???

What kind of lighting could i get that would be small enough and would let me keep some simple soft corals?

Is there any tiny fish like a neon gobie or those other tiny gobies that would be ok once i get it stable and cycled?

I will have a good 30mins a day after simple FW checks, to do some fiddling around with this tank.

Thank you

Those lights are really the wrong colour spectrum for marine life.

Any fish in a tank that size is a big risk, a neon goby is probably the lesser risk.

Any particular brands avaliable in the UK of light?

I know when i see people with firefish maroon clownfish in like 2 gallons, i just think mean and i dont want to be one of those people

Their color spectrum, or Kelvin isnt ideal, but only because of aesthetics. The closer you get to 5000K the better marine macro-algae will grow. But this light will look more increasingly yellow. The closer you get to 20,000k the bluer/purple the light will become. Whats the length of your tank? You might want to go a dual T5 or T8 fixture.
