well my 3rd spawn just ended about 30 min ago.(not petstore bettas) well i was thinking about trying the leave the father in method. just wondering if any one here tried it out yet. any tips would be help ful
Take out the female. Since this is your third spawn, why not give it a try and see my method works for you. I still left my males in the hatching tank as long as I can and they all works and not eating the babies. (Sometimes I need the breeding tank or the male getting sick. LOL) Make sure to feed the male with good meal. Add water egg yoke drop to the babies too. I feed the male with blood worm or live blackworm. When the babies hatching after three days, add real aging water slowly to the top tank. 5 gallon or 10 are fine. Just leave the father in and you will be surprised how he babysit the babies.
ahh decision decsions i guess im gonna wait until i have a succefull spawn. i took the female out awhile ago but i dont think the male will ever fin the eggs. is it alright if the eggs stay on the bottom?
Take out the jawa moss now. The male will see the eggs there and hopefully he will pick the eggs back to the nest.
I thought you have two success hatching and this is the third time.
