OoOo looks pretty! Hopefully you won't have to trim it too often c:

Ok, so the heater is working in this tank lol I was feeding the yellows and endlers and happened to put my hand on this tank. Instant OH MY thats feels warm lol

Yep it was heater @  34C. Just as well there were no fish in there!

 Glad there weren't any fish in! Going to turn it down a bit?

Was turned down as soon as i noticed :)

The high heat has caused some of the crypts to melt, hopefully they will recover in time

I think the melt has stopped, but it gave the crypts a flogging, some will definitely recover, others are just wait and see. Also now having a diatom outbreak, so it is looking far from pretty at this stage *LOL*

I priced the 20 tiger barbs today from my LFS today, not too bad at all, I wont be getting them straight away though as i want to get the plant side of things right first :)

Glad they should be getting better! That's good the pricing isn't bad, though don't tigers sometimes like to nibble at plants? Or should it be fine with the type of plants you're using and then keeping them well fed? ;o

I've never really had them take to plants unless they are spawning, and that wont be successful in a tank full of them and a RTBS

Ohhhh boy, this tank is going through the uglies lol There will be no new pics until it settles down, i am itching to clean it up, but i will leave it to level out itself.

It is going through adjustments. The DIY substrate is known to take a few weeks to settle. Add that to the massive crypt melt that caused issues (which has now thankfully stopped)...and yep....the uglies!!

Oh and the plant that is planted all around the front of the rocks, its gonna have to be moved elsewhere, it has taken off like a weed and it pretty much taller than the rocks now lol

ooh please give us a new picture
biggrin.png
please no matter how ugly it looks to you it will look good to me I'm sure

at least give us a gd picture of the plants at the front i want to see how they look

Any pics a good pic

I added a large powerhead to get the water moving and all the crud into the water column. Sunday the tank witll be emptied, as i need to move it, and hopefully most of the crud will be taken out with the water. As i fill it i will be major trimming the plant in front of the rocks

I need to get some loaches to clean up the snails, but i really dont want loaches, as they cant stay in her permanantly. Hmmmmm maybe a snail trap might be the way to go

I like it :D Sunday sounds like a busy day :) I'd try the snail trap. Hope it works!
