38 gallon filter

Hi, im getting a 38 gallon tank and was wondering what filter to purchase. The keys for me are quality and quietness since the tink is going to be in my room. Any information or suggestions will help. Thanks

If absolute silence is the key, then for canister filters, Eheim or Fluval.

For hang on the tank filters, you might want to avoid bio-wheels as they make a slight waterfall sound of water flowing over the wheels. An Aquaclear filter is a silent hang on the tank filter.

but ehiem canisters are really expensive I wouldn't spend over a hundred dollars on filtration for a 48 go with an Aquaclear 300, or 70, they aren't as quite as a canister but one of the best hobs. Another suggestion is a internal filter these aren't overly efficient plus big and bulky but most likely the quitess
