can you have those plec bottom feeder things with other fish?

Hillstream loaches stay small, and are a sucker-mouth type of fish, but they do like fast-flowing water.

I have a pair of hillstream loaches. Can be known as stonesuckers. They are brilliant for algae cleanup. It's like cutting grass, you can see where they have been.

Yes they need good aerated water and a swift river current is great. Mine play around the water jet but I wish I could give them a more riverbed experience.

There also Temperate fish so prefer the cooler end of the tropical temps (Hillstream loaches that is)

hillstream loaches are fab for coldwater setups. they dont do well in much warmer tropical water..they die young
but i love them. mine was called Nugget
