hay i have recentally just set up my new fish tank! it is a 32 gallon tank, with two sponger filters in each end. other the past 3 weeks iv been adding 2 my collection so far i have
  • 6 neon tetras, 5 male guppies, 4 females, 3 angel fish, 2 small cat fish, 1 male fighter fish, and 2 females.
am i over crowed??????? i have been told by the local pet shop thats its ok and i can av up 2 44 small fish mesuring up2 5cm in size i av also read this in a book! if i can have any advice that would be great! also if im nt over crowded can i av so advice on what fish 2 get next was thinking of glass fish or mayb a pair of parrot fish??

did you cycle the tank before adding fish?

1. if you didn't cycle the tank you're going to have some deaths in the family
2. 3 angels are too much for a 32 gallon, they'll get to 5-6" high and get territorial
3. fighter fish are not a good addition, males and females should NOT be kept together, ever, and male fighters are known to kill male guppies.

do you know what kind of catfish? suckermouth type? or cory type?

your tank is too small for parrot fish really, and they wouldn't be a good mix with angel fish, cichlids don't mix that well.

some info on angel fish:

and fighters (aka bettas)

yer i cycled the tank and also got some of bacterial build up stuff that also gets rid of nitrate, nitrite and amonia. the fighters seem to get on fine with the guppies, and i am hoping to get a larger tank after the summer! so a parrot fish int a good idea @ the moment then??

you can't keep male and female betta together. my old angel attacked a betta before i removed the betta to another tank. i wouldn't reccommend you keep parrots with the fish you have they need a 55g for 1 i think not sure though so don't hold me to that and mine don't really like small fish but thats just my experience with them. should you have more female then male guppies or is it alright if their are a few males they don't pay much attention. the male betta will probably fight with the guppies. adult angel fish are know to eat adult neons in the wild so probably will eat them in your tank. you also don't have enough room for full grown angels int hat tank but your getting a bigger tank? how much bigger? what sort of catfish are they you have as already asked? sorry if it sounds like i'm having ago at everthing you've done just saying what i think.
