I will be moving house in a few months and to make things more simple I was considering selling off my remaining Freshwater fish. The biggest of my tanks is a Juwel Rio 300. I certainly can not afford to fill it with Live Rock in the short Term but was wondering if you guys thought a FO setup would be a possibility.

Its got High-lite T5s in there + A 1000lph Canister and a 1500lph Juwel. With those plus 3 X K3s and a Skimmer would i be in business?

If you keep the light low to prevent nuisance algae, and stock some hardier fish, it should be just fine :). Longterm I'd still reccomend rock of some kind with a little LR sprinkled in to see the tank and the rocks to create a natural environment that the fish are used to :)

Fish only tanks are still great marine tanks. Just make sure you have places for the fish to hide in like rocks etc. You can then buy and grow some different types of algea if you like to give a slpash of colour. Well thats what i would do.
