COLUMBIAN SHARK CATFISH

ive kept these in fw, but have heard they can be slowly introduced to full sw.
ive also heard there reef safe, and wont touch anything fish wise from damsel upwards in size...

so, reef safe, fish safe, possibly a sw fish?
true or false?

if true im thinking of adding one to my system with my large tangs and reef dwellers.

I've never heard of them being full SW, only brackish at the best. Some of the ones from Peru apparently can live in freshwater their entire life but its best for brackish as they get older. From my experience they will eat whatever fits in their mouth, and they get to a decent size and girth

They can be acclimated to marine but they aren't reef fish, meaning that's not their natural environment. However they are considered reef-safe meaning they won't harm your corals. They will eat smaller fish and shrimp that live in the tank.
