Hello, so im playing around with the idea of starting up my spare 30 gallon long i have laying around. 36"x12"x18". I want to make it a pretty simple set up. So i was wanting to do more of a show tank with a pair or trio of fish. Play sand substrate and limited decor.
So far I'm thinking of a pair of
Keyhole cichlids
Or
Bufflao heads
Or
Angels
Or a trio of
Ruby haps.
Im not concerened if they breed but if they do, id like the parents to be able to raise the fry without too much help from me.
My water hardness is around 6gh but I've kept and bred both africans and south americans before successfully so i can manipulate the water chemistry easily.
Other then the fish named above whatother cichlids would work? The bigger the better! I realize I'm limited on size but id rather have a 4" fish than a 2" fish.
I was going to post this in one of the cichlid specific sections but since im open to either African or new world i figured id put it in the general section.
Thanks
