Went out, got more plants and also got 3 new female bettas :)
I had such a hard time picking which ones. Was thinking about getting another male b/c the Petsmart had some really tiny tiny CT's, but I wanted to try a sorority.

Anywho.. I know everyone just wants to see the pics :p heh They're not very good. Still haven't figured out a good setting for the camera to capture them yet  I'll try to get better pics later on.

Only one pic of this gal. The darker ones are so hard to get a pic of, plus she didn't want to stay still.
She was the first one I picked out though. She's SO pretty. Certain angles she looks green and red, while other angles she's blue and red. Very pretty! She's a bossy thing though. Her and one of the other ones instantly started flaring at eachother once I let them out of their bags.

And here is the other bossy one. I got this one b/c fiance liked her. It was between her and a more purple-y colored one.
This pic shows her true colors really well

While these pics don't show them too well. She has a small little nip or something in her tail. Not from the other bettas. She was like that when I got her.

And finally the little runt. I had to get this one. She was so tiny that she could swim through to the other cubbies and one of the females in the other one she was swimming to was nipping on her. The mean one was also small enough to go to the other cubbies and started terrorizing her. I felt so bad so I decided she was coming home with me heh. She's definitely a curious girl. She instantly started to explore her new home, while the other 2 were too busy flaring at eachother :p
She has a little bit of damage to her fins, but I'm sure she'll heal up well. She's a bit skittish and scared of me atm. Hoping this will change, b/c the other 2 definitely aren't and took food right away while she went to the bottom of the tank.

Here is a pic of the runt and the pink one sitting in their bags floating. Surprised how large her and the green/blue ones' beards are.

And a pic of the pink and green/blue and a pic of the jungle they're now living in :p heh I swear the water isn't brown or green like in some of the other pics lol.

Yah the pink one is pretty. She has a very pretty round tail. The green girl has a slight spade shape to hers. While the little one.. not sure.
I really need to think up some names for them so I can stop calling them by their color or size heh.

Anywho.. the lil runt is SO cute. The bigger gals have been chasing her some, but just a little while ago, she seized her oppurtunity to flare some at the pink one while it was resting lol.
I think they're all totally loving their new home though.. well cept for the strong filter current. Gonna have to figure out something to reduce that. Unfortunatly none of the plants we got today are tall enough to cut down on the current... bleh.

I adore the pink one, used to have a boy like that. I wish my girls would go together but they wouldn't. Anyway, they have lost their chance I got goldfish in the big tank now.

Congrats! Perhaps you could place a fake (I mean fake cheapy, plasticy, THICK) plastic plants in from of the filter, perhaps tying the in front of the flow with nylon thread.

If all else fails then I'll go with a fake plant. I want to avoid it right now though. Paranoid that they'll cut themselves on sharp edges.
What's nylon thread?
