3 inch purple

some like 3 inch purple saltwater fish..

was like wriggling on the bottom of its 1/2 gallon ''tank'' at the pet store..


its eyes were vibrating and its body was twitching insanely...

then it spat out a piece of a peppermint shrimp... and took its last breath..

it was extremely creepy to watch..

probably an expensive fish ..

i guess the peppermint shrimp wasnt supposed to be with him..

didnt work out for either of em

What's sad is when you think about where it lived, where it came from, swimming around the reef, minding its own business, doing what fish do (I'm not naive, I know its a dangerous life, can get eaten at any time), captured by a collector, put in a bag and shipped halfway around the world, still with the will to survive,going through the chain of importer to wholesaler to retailer, and then...it ends up in a 1/2 gallon tank in a pet shop and dies. I know we can't re-create oceans, but it seems as though if we're going to subject these living creatures to our "environments", we should put forth some effort to meet their needs. Was anybody at the shop even aware of what it was going through?

its a massive store... probably 1000 tanks..

and they only have like 3 ppl workin the tanks so no..
