The danios are suitable for both your tanks in terms of tank size, but are not compatible with most of your fish/plans. It is a bit unfortunate that you have such an odd mix of fish already, it would have been much easier to stock around a single, favourite species without constraints.I dont know if these are too small but i like the Danio Margaritatus. Would they be ok in the big tank?
Betta does not mix well with rams and gouramis, as other person mentioned above. Can the Male Betta not stay in the small tank with the Rams, Gouramis and Phantom Tetras?
The list in purely of suitable fish, it completely ignores compatibility and numbers. Yes, you need to decide on what you're doing with what before you buy any more fish or your stocking may end up going even more haywire than it started off with. Ideally, you should be looking at one tetra species, one dwarf cichlid species and whatever is left from the original stocking per tank. So if you get neons for the small tank, move the phantoms over to the big tank, for example.Ah, ok, i was looking at your list wrong! So if i want Apisto's in the big tank, from South America, the best from the list i saw are probably Neon Tetras. The Yellow Glass Tetra are nice too but have never seen them in lfs's before! The Black Phantom Tetra are from South America too so could i decide which i want in which tank before i get the Neon's?
That would go for the Small tank too as Rams are also from SA right....
