29g options

I have an open 29g with great filtration and heating. Here are some of my thoughts:

29g =

Dwarf puffers 5-10
Convicts to breed, use fry as food for Oscar
Guppy for same purposes
Barb Tank
2-5 Firemouths
2 Four inch angels

Any comments? What do you think would work

i tried the guppy tank tank but they only have like 5-10 fry and it takes for every for them to grow large enough its better to get a old 15g tank with udergravel filter and noheater and use feeder goldfish

My vote is for the 2 angels. Angels are cool.

if you have the oscar, go with the convicts, you will save a lot of money not having to buy feeders

Angels are VERY cool... but how high is your 29 gal drob? They should really be in a tank that's at least 18" high.

I'd go with angels if the tank were suitable for them, or if you had a suitable tank to put them in once they outgrew this one (if it isn't high enough)

The tank is 16.5'' with Black gravel substrate and black background. I like the angels but my tank isnt very tall Im thinking maybe the puffers would be a good bet...my only problem with the convicts is how would I pick out a breeding pair?

I thought 29's were 18 inchs tall. At least I could have swore thats what the dimensions were the one I looked at at petco.

Not on your list but I reaally like cichlids. Any kind of cichlid.

I think mines longer than usual or deeper? it said 29g US on the box tho
