Hi,

I have recently (in the past month) set up a 270L marine tank, my lfs said it was 260l but I read the manual and it said it was 270L. I have decided to keep soft corals and a few hard corals and reef fish. I have no pictures of the tank when it was bare, but I have pictures of it during the first two or three weeks. Here are some specifications:

Pumps and skimmer:

koralia 3 3200l/h
aqua medic turboflotor 750 skimmer

Filtration:

Large amount of live rock

Lighting:

2x 24w T5 lights one blue and one white

Here are some pictures of it in its first 2-3 weeks, at this time it had:

1 firefish
2 percula clowns (pair)
2 yellowfin damsels
1 cleaner wrasse

These are my pair of percula clowns!

More updates coming soon!

Thats a pretty quick stocking you have done there. Make sure you check all those water stats regular til the tank becomes more stable.
Looks nice though

obviously or they would be dead/dying. Im just saying watch out for a few weeks, all should be fine. Just dont want to lose all those fish.
what tank is it? cube?

Aqualantis evasion cube or something like that. I am leaving it a month before I start stocking again to make sure the tank is mature enough.

I think I might go down the reef tank road as it still is a bit on the small side for larger centerpiece fish. I am struggling on fish selection as there is so many! Any stocking ideas?

Cool will be watching then. i love a nice cube rammed with corals

Dwarf angel or flasher wrasse as a cnter piece? Thats my flasher wrasse in my sig.

FYI, that's very low lighting to keep going down the hard coral route. You're going to want some significant juice if you want to really get into the tough stuff.

What are the tank's dimensions?

UPDATE I bought a yellow tang yestesday. My LFS said that he was the laziest tang they have seen, he had been in the shop for 3 months feeding well and in great condition. He is doing fine and seems to be settling in well. Before I bought him I researched the yellow tang and it said the minimum tank size is 235l. I will post some pics of the tang and tank soon.

I have managed to get round to taking pictures of my new tank layout and my yellow tang. Here is a picture of the new tank layout:

Oh and by the way the tank measurements are 67x67x67cm.

The tang will rpobably need a tank with more swimming room as it grows. Tangs are really active and mess. Should be in 70 gallon plus for YT's

My firefish just died! It went missing for a few days and I found him dead at the back of the tank. When I netted him out I checked over his body, no signs of illness. Any idea why he died? all the water parameters are fine.
