You can keep various cory species together and they'll get on fine.  It's best to have at least half a dozen of each type as they are a social fish.

Different cory species generally won't interact in the same way as a group of the same species.

I'm setting a discus tank up too, just need the discus. Byron has given you great advice.

As for corys go for at least 6 they look great in a litle group and I can recomend Serbai which I keep. Rummy nose and cardinals look great in a group too so I would recomend those too

Probably best that i stick to one variety then as il probably only get 6 or 7, dont want to overstock and the plan up to now is to have
5 discus
3 otos
1 raphael striped catfish
8 rosy tetras

Are serbai the corys that like the temps nice and high like the discus?
Ive just been looking at the corydorus multiradiatus, are those compatible?

Sterbai will tolerate up to 28c so should be suitable.

They're among my favourites :)

there was another thread on here the other day about cories that will tolerate higher temps and we referred to planet catfish for information. There are only 4 cories that will tolerate the high temps, Sterbai's was one and the other was the emerald - bronchis spendins. I can't remember the names of the other two

Here's a link to the thread as it'll help you too I think :) http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/439813-upgrading-an-old-juwel-tank-opinions/

Very good :) i like the sterbai, if i get corys they will probably be the ones. Learned so much on these threads in the last few days its great. I put my tank info, filter make and model and planned stock into a stock calculator. It said my stock will be at 90% and filter efficiency 98%. Sounds good to me.
