25 gallon cichlid tank?

I am inheriting my mums tank(all her guppys bred to much and she couldnt handle it)so i was wondering if its possible to convert it to a cichlid tank?My LFS are doing cichlids really cheap seeing as they got a whole new stock in!So i just want to know if its possible?

You can do an African tank in a 25, but most Africans will not work, so you need to be very careful with your selection of fish, especially with species from lake Malawi.

lemon cichlids and brichardi's don't get that big. around 3 1/2 inches. you might be able to make it work.

This isn't my post, but how many Neolamprologus leleupi (lemon cichlids) could live comfertabley in a 20g? And maybe what are some common compatible fishes. Bottom dwellers + others. Would Zebra danios be okay?
