I was completely surprised at that own goal, most people seem to think Croatia have no chance but they're doing pretty well!

Exciting opening match, Croatia gave up a good fight and Brazil was constantly on the attack. I still believe it could have been a draw if not for that penalty.

Soft penalty, but still reckon Brazil would still have won anyway, so end result no different IMO.

I think the penalty was soft and that swung it Brazil's way. Brazil did'nt seem to be as good as everyone was expecting, I'm looking forward to Spain vs Holland tomorrow.

Yeah they are, USA play Ghana on Monday. I tried watching baseball last year and really enjoyed it. Only issues for me were start times as I'm in UK and just sheer volume of games watered it down a bit.

Just try to explain to me, TTA, (or another US-based member) how come there is the World Series Baseball? Who else enters other than USA and possibly Canadian teams?

That's what I thought. I don't really feel, with the greatest respect to our American members, that it really justifies the name "World Series" if it's only American teams that take part. Perhaps "National Series" or "American Series" would be more apt?
