If I wanted to make my 20 gallon tank a community tank what could I keep in it, I mean with each other? I am thinking about making it a big wonderful 20 gallon tropical community but I do not know what I would keep in it.

Guppies, neon tetras, harlequin rasboras, dwarf corys, chain loaches, dwarf gourami, platys. There's some slightly bigger fish you could go with, but if you want a "big wonderful" community, I'd stick in the 1-1.5" range, as you can get a pretty good number in.

I was thinking about stocking and is this to much?
-6 neon tetra's
-3 male guppies
-2 dwarf gourami
-1 apple snail

Would that be okay or is that over stocking?

that will be fine, just dont add them all at once of course. id say take your time and add them over a period of 2 months to be on the safe side. if you have lighting at or above 2 watts per gallon i recommend planting it. a well planted tank can easily be "overstocked" and still remain vital and vibrant. just take it slow if you're unfamiliar with this to avoid an accident. its worth it in the long run to take it slow at first so in 2 years you still have the same fish you began with. good luck

Definately agree with the plants, well planted tanks look great and the water quality is so much better too :) As for your stocking, what you've suggested is absolutely fine.

Okay great. It is already well planted, because right now it is my female guppy tank. But I am looking for another tank for them.

Well i guess your tank can handle some more fish. example cardinal tetra a school of them or some albino cories since they will stay in the bottom all time and all your other fish are top and middle.

guppies, mollies, swordtails, gurarmy, angels....
