2 Quick Questions!

2 quick questions?
1) I want to buy 2 pearl gouramis from livefish.com.au but there is no gender selection. There is gender selection for dwarf gourami but not pearl Why? Dont 2 males fight??
2) Will 10 cardinals, 5 striped kuhli loaches and 2 gouramis be enough to full up a 4 foot tank? Like full of life and not seem empty??

Kuhli loaches are forever foraging around the tank and the cardinals should always be swimming around, schooling in the current created by whatever filter you have available. Is it dwarf gouramis that you're thinking about getting?

In a 4ft tank you could probably fit double the amount of cardinals.

2 males might square off against each other but gouramis don't have the apparatus to do any real damage to each other. A pair of males would be OK in my eyes provided the tank is long enough to stay out of each others' way. I'll let another more experienced member decide that, though. I haven't had enough experience with gouramis to be completely certain.

Ideally you want a male and female pearl gourami, I have these in my tank. Beautiful, intelligent fish. The male is almost eating out of my hand he is very tame. Tends to chase the female around a bit but see him looking to create a bubble nest in the floating plants I have. Can't rate these fish highly enough they are stunning!!
