OK,
I new to this fish game, I've got a 70l tank, with M/F dalmatian mollys, with M/F koi swordtails, M/F krebensis and a few tetras.
My F dalmatian molly and F koi swordtail are both pregnant, and the M dalmation molly has become quite aggressive, nipping all the fish. At the moment I have the M dalmatian molly in a trap as he has already finished off a neon tetra and 2 rosey ( i think) platys.

Obviously I dont want to keep him in there but I'm not sure what else I can do. My trap can fit in 2 pregnant females in. I know that you should drop the females in at the last possible moment.

Help, should I keep any of them trapped now? Will the male calm down after the pregnant fish have given birth?

dont keep the females in the trap until they're ready.
maybe try and get a separate tank?

How long has your tank been established?
Has it been fully cycled?
Also do you actually WANT to raise the fry? Because unless you actually specifically want to raise them you could just let nature take it's course and see how many survive?

Reason i ask about how long the tank has been established is because I've never had an agressive molly...ever.
It seems odd, I mean I know every fish is different but something may well be sparking him.
What are your water parameters?

Mollies are not usually agressive I agree. Male mollies do become bullies to other males when they are trying to make the point that they are the leader of the pack. They want all the females to them selves. Also if the females in your tank have babies they will become food for all fish in the tank.
