2 New Plecos...information Please

Hi there...thanks for looking!

I have just got 2 (1inch) Bulldog pleco's (what they were called in the shop) or Rubbernose as they also seem to be called!
I was wondering if any one has any advise on keeping them? Whether you have got some or have owned them before or not
I would like to know anything about them, like what food they like and how to make them happier
My tank details are
165 UK litres
81F
with 2 flourecent strip bulbs (1 growlight and 1 normal)
planted with 2 large piece's of bog wood!

Bulldog plecs prefer a much cooler temperature, no higher than 74f if I remember rightly and also need well oxygenated water:

People buy them for their tanks not knowing their needs, and they have a habit of dying on them - so it might be worth lowering the temp, or putting them in another tank (or returning them to the shop).

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news - it's one reason why we should all research our purchases before we buy them, rather than after. I know I've made that mistake before (most recently with my gold nugget), so not trying to be holier than thou!

I bought one a fortnight ago, did everything by the book and he still died the other day. They don't seem to be very hardy, at least not the littler ones.

I know i should of resurched them before i got them but i did ask the fish guy about wether the conditions in my tank would be ok and he did agree.. My tank has been up and running for 3 years which i know is not that long but all my fish I have choosen I have been succesful in keeping and hopefully I will be with these two
Had them one day and night now and they are both fine..sucking away happily
