Currently housing these fish together temporarily in one tank, and just wanted to confirm that there would be enough room for them in there.

They should be fine in a 10 gallon. I only use a 5 gallon for quarantine and I've had 3 platy in there before and they were hunky dory :D
 
Should not be a problem, a rule of thumb is about 2 liters water per centimeter of fish. 10gal=ca 38 liters, 1"=2.54 cm. Hope this helps.
 
Sounds great to me.
 
I kept platies and mollies together for years and they all got along great. As for the tank size it's fine until they start to multiply.
