2 identical heaters & tanks - diff temps

Yeah, I'm such a tard - it's taken me weeks to figure that out.
And I sit here and stare at the setup EVERY single day.
Not until your comment did it occur to me that tank LOCATION on my desk (1 inch apart) could make a difference.

Well, folks - it turns out the laptop wasn't the problem at all with Jasper's tank.
I put Charlie's tank between Jasper's tank and the laptop.
I just noticed Jasper's back up to 86 degrees.
Charlie's tank sits at 77 degrees with no heater in it, and it's right next to my laptop.

Keep in mind that this is the 2nd heater I tried in Jasper's tank and both heaters kicked up the temp to 86. It's a mini hydor heater.

Leave it plugged in so he's in the 86 degree water? Or unplug and let him be in 76 degree water???

He seems to be kinda lethargic and hangs out under his lonely little leaf when it gets this hot...

well, all my tanks except that one work perfectly fine in my tanks so i think you'd be okay, especially if it's a little cooler in your office.

They keep our office at like 75 degrees, but my tanks at home all run right around 78 degrees.
