2 Females Too Young To Mate? One Very Anxious Male?

So yesterday I went to PetCo and bought 2 new little female bettas. I looked it up and they were barely old enough to sell. But before that I only had one male betta. So as I was saying, I put the two girls in the same tank as the boys and yeah I will admit there was some tail nipping but now everything has gone quite smooth. He completely ignoores them because he is too busy with his bridge (i bought that for them). The only thing he does to them now is sometimes chase them. Other than that, they might as well be in completely different tanks. The two female fish look like they were barely old enough to sell so I bought them out of pity, they were stuck in a couple of those plastic cups. That's just cruel. And the two girls get along well. Nataliya the one who looks most like Gilgamesh (my male) really geta along with him, when she apporaches HIM.
Any thoughts?

I'm a bit confused

Anyway from what I can gather from your post, you have 2 female bettas in with how many male bettas? since you said 'boys'.
May I ask how big the tank is?
