The 2nd damsel changed since we first got it

It used to look like this, it was barly an inch big

Now it is 2-3 inches and looks like this, its a real bully now, and i want to get rid of it... But its to hard to catch.
I'm just afraid its gunna hurt my fish or corals, althought no fish have been injured since hes been in there, he just chases them. BUT my toadstool leather hasnt been opening up its polyps (the coral its self still expands) Any info on this would be appreciated (i dont even know if it still has any polyps or if something ate them....)

And here is the snail, its big, and has white and black "stripes"

Thank you for any help with Id-ing these fish

the 2nd damsel is Neoglyphidodon nigroris, not sure about the first one.

most damsels change colour as they get older. They start off small and colourful and usually end up brown, grey or dark blue. They also become highly territorial when they mature.

That makes sense, im not to fond of the 1st one right now...

Ty for the Id on the 2nd one. Do you know a common name that they are called by?

Anything on the snail?

Snail could be a sundial, they eat zoa's, so I would get rid of it as soon as you defo id it - look up sundials on google

Seffie x

:fish:

ps - so, is this your other tank? 55 gallon if i remember correctly - how about some stats?

the first 2 pics look like a semi mature Black Damsel (Neoglyphidodon melas)

Neoglyphidodon nigroris is called Behn's Damsel in my book but we had a different name in the shop, I just can't remember it.

no idea about the snail

WELL! that would make sense on the snail, cause i had zoos a long time ago, and i they sorta got eaten by something, BUT we blamed my chocostarfish cause we saw it on the zoos,

I looked up sundials and its deffiantly not a sundial...

Hmm... i googled Neoglyphidodon nigroris and it said that they are Chromis, not damsels? does anyone know if it is true?

"Paraglyphidodon melas: The Black Damselfish is also known as the Bluefin Damselfish, Bowtie Damselfish, Yellow-back Damsel, and Royal Damsel"
Ew i hope it doesnt turn black any time soon... its

Ill come back with stats, and yes this is my 55gal =] i dont have time today because im going out of town

Way too big to be a sundial snail... Whatever species it is, it's not common to the aquarium trade. My inclination would be that it's related to a mexican turbo snail though based on the shell shape.

i saw a picture of someones nano on here and they had the same snail, it is large, like 2 - 2.5 inches, and its shell is smooth, not bumpy like a sundial, they are like spot strips, not really stright stripes.

The snail is not a sundial snail; it's probably Cittarium pica, often sold as a Zebra Turbo (Turbo undulatus looks similar, and a few others are sometimes sold under the same name). It's acutally pretty common in some parts of the US, although it seems to be less common up north. I've only seem them in stores a couple times since moving to Connecticut, but they were the 2nd most common "Turbo" being sold when I lived in Texas, with T. fluctuosa/fluctuosus being the most common. They're also a seasonal appearance on some websites selling CUC animals.

ty =] i live kinda in the southern US

I called it a zebra turbo for a while but when ilooked up one, it didnt really look like it
