1St Water Change With Fluval 206 Canister Filter Filled Tank With ....

Just done my fist water change with a canister filter (Fluval 206) and when I started it up all stuff came out of it lots, looked like brine shrimp but I cleaned all the filter and replaced polishing pad. bit strange filled the whole tank looked bad. been running for about a hour now starting to clear up.
 
anyone got any idea what this is and should I clean the hose when I do the change bit hard to get to as its up against the wall?

This is just gunk that had accumulated in your pipes.
It happens to me all the time because I'm lazy in cleaning them.
