Hi

I have an area in the living room perfect for starting my first tropical Aquarium, but I am restricted to approx 60cm width.

With this in mind I have short listed the Fluval Roma 90 on new style stand and the Askoll Pure L.

I'm favouring the Fluval currently but my thoughts are pairing it with a Fluval 206 External Filter to improve water quality and improve ease of maintenance. Do you know if the Roma 90 cabinet will house the 206 filter, does the canopy have the required cut out for the external filter hoses?

Any advice/thought would be appreciated.

Thanks

There should be a rectangle that is pressed on the rear of the tank that you can snap out to provide you with the space you need to fit the external pipework. The 206 should fit perfect, if their shape is similar to the older 205.

Thanks minnnt, well it sounds like i'm thinking along the right lines then.

I was a little concerned I may be exceeding the filter requirement and that the 106 may be better suited?

Nope. I would even consider the 305/6. You can turn it down on the aqua stop and add more media that way.
