1g aquaview vs. 1g mini bow

I would have gotten a 1gal minibow if they were available. I like the base, and the viewing area in the front. Right now, I have my Aquaview backwards on my table because I want that flat viewing area.

I would LOVE to have the minibow ... something about how its more a rectangle than that odd shape of the aquaview. Walmart here has the 2.5 gal for $25 but I wish they had the 1 gal ones *sigh* Id get at bunch of them

i found the 1gallon ones at wm in olsmar flroida, by the way they got too many complaints so they arnt carrying any more bettas. but the other day i saw one on ebay and i passed it up and i looked today and it isent there anymore but i'll keep my eye out on one since everyone really wants one

I guess it just really depends what you're looking for. I don't like 1-gallon tanks, I've decided. I have 2 of the 1-gal. Aquaviews and they work great. I don't use the UG filter. I also have a 5-gallon Minibow for my dwarf puffer and I love that too. I do like the "stand" thing on the Minibow, but both are great. I agree with whoever said the Aquaview looks more professional.

I really wish MiniBows were cheaper though... grrr... they are overpriced, in my opinion.

Does the mini-bow 1 gallon's lid have any screws that attach the lens to the top? So your lightbulb will not get wet and get you or the fish electrocuted. My screws in the aquaview are badly rusted and could be a problem with the water.

I've got 8 Aquaviews and I love them, but I've always been bothered by their shape. I'm going to get some of those bowfronts as soon as I get my Walmart to order more... right now all they have is pink!
Sorry, I guess it's "radical red"... looks pink to me. The only colours I can stand in those things are the purple and the blue. I wish they'd make a plain old-fashioned black.

Same here. My aquaviews are hospital tanks, temporary homes etc. They are very cheap looking in my opinion.

I have 2 aquaviews but I was looking at the 1g Minibow yesterday at Walmart and I think the fish would prefer the minibow because of its shape. I would prefer the minibow because of the design and viewing space. I think they're really attractive and come in nice colors to match your decor and fish! Unfortunately my husband wont let me get any more tanks in the apartment!

mini bows are really expencive. i may have one for my dwarf puffer tank (5 gallons) but all i have seen around here are 2.5 and 5 gallons. they have 1 1/2 aquaviews ,and they have cheaper imitators at petsmart and petco
