I cant prime my eheim classic! It doesnt have the power flow as it used too, i cleaned the filter see if it was that..that was bogging it down but no it isnt

Pop out the impeller and hose out the housing. Inspect the impeller & shaft. Clean out the hoses as well. Usually gunk gets hung inside the passages around the impeller impeding flow.

thx, I inspected half of the impeller and the passage way and it was cleared , im gonna take out the whole impeller and see wats up; after lunch tho. this eheim is only a wk and a half old..it was doing great , but when i took out the carbon pad the flow reduced very drasticly

I took out my impeller yesterday to clean it and broke the impeller shaft in the process.

well I aslo broke off my shaft....eheim classic is overrated...f u

So I bought a rena xp....its much easier to prime....Im gonna try to get my money back for my classic..but its gonna be hard , I threw the box away , but , i went to the trash can and rescued it from the garbage man and I bot it on ebay...well atleast i did a gd deed , i saved a box!!!

Contact the shop you got it from, or Eheim themselves. I've been running these filters for years & have yet to break a shaft. There is no way a shaft should break after 1 1/2 weeks.

One advantage of dealing with quality stuff like Eheim is that they supply a full range of spares. Just get a new shaft. I have never had a problem with Eheims, they just work.

tha problem wanst the shaft just the water flow was terrible , very low so I was cleaning the shaft to see if that would help wid better water flow and I broke it..if i buy another shaft ,the water still would be too low for my fish to survive
