Looks good.

I'm just in the process of setting up a 15 usg tank and wondered what hardware your running.

8-9kg of liverock (mixed source)
3 x 14w T5 luminaire 2 months old with white tubes
Weipro skimmer, uprated with large (1800lph) powerhead for more throughput and better skimming
2 week old Hydor ITPF4 internal filter (700lph) with built in heater
Magiflow internal filter running spraybar (400lph)
5 gal w/c per week or 2nd week

Not a bad looking tank, although I think it will look even better when its got a bit more corals in there.

Got any fish in the tank or is it just corals? I dont see a protein skimmer so i take it you are going down the water-change route.

Any other specs you'd like to share with us?

Ben

Ant fish in there

Wots the Nori Clip for ??

no plans for fish yet,
few micro blue ,dove tails, stomatella ,normal size snail, blue leg hermiit

brisle worms in there which pricked me with thousands of brisle so now have a finger with loads of little blister on and slight swelling

nori clip ah ha belongs to my other tank ,which is clip on to a temp sensor

Im not bothered to see the skimmer itself, I just couldnt see one pictured. What kind of maintanence are you doing to the tank, and are you using RO or tap water? Do you have problems having that level of sand in the tank. From my fairly limited experience I have found that it is best to either have less than half an inch of sand, or more than 2" of sand, anywhere in between will cause problems. Have you had much critter build up in your sand and do you get algae problems?

ok there ugly things, best in a sump imho

waterchange per week to 2 wks
i never use tap water only r.0

the sand bed is 3/4 in to 1inch it may look more as its slightly pushed to the front,

yup loads of critters in the sand
i think the key to not having problems with sand depth is the critters,,

there was lodas of diff alagie cheatomorph, calpea ,etc grown in this tank before as it was getting setup for sea horses

bit of an update,
tanks, now has 2x 1200 maxi pumps
an 150 m/halide blue moon thingies ,
live rock setup so there flow around the back,

plan at the mo is to run the tank, sps and lps, no fish ,no skimmer,
clean up crew,shrimps ,snails, crabs
w/c for getting rid of waste
what do you think??
