Hi

1st post in this section for me :good: Many years ago i had a 4ft marine set-up so know the basics of keeping a salt water tank :good:

I have got a now redundant 16 gallon tank and was wondering if there were any salt water set-ups that would work in this size tank??

Any ideas/advice gratefully recieved

Hi

Nice idea about the zoanthids :good: Will certainly have a look locally to see what is available. Need to get new hood for the tank as there's no way i can fit enough lighting in the hood thats fitted.

Can you recommend any particular zoa's and gobies?

Thanks

Zoanthids are all pretty much the same care-wise, so get ones whose color you like :). You might also want to consider some ricordea, they make great nano species.

Yeah rics, mushrooms and zoas. Maybe green star polyp and xenia as well (though these can spread quickly which could be an issue in a smaller tank).

Maybe a pair of clowns, a cleaner shrimp, some peppermint shrimp, cuc and a nice goby of some kind.

Hi

Thanks for all your advice :good:

Even better news is that due to some remodelling of the lounge, i can actually fit in a 23 gallon tank. So this would open more options up.

Gonna go and have a look around at some different set ups and then make the final decision on which way to go. Do like the look of Zoa's and a few choice fish though :good:

Will let you know what i decide.

For 23 gallons you may aswel go for like a mini softie reef. I prefer little fish in little tanks, you can get more in and they look far more natural imo. Look at jennybugs diary. She has some tiny little fish and they look aweseme

Yeh, been looking through the diary.....very nice :good:
