I have had a 15gallon for a year now, and after moving house soon i would like to add some more colour to my tank.
I currently have 2 Angel fish and 2 Cat Fish.

I dont know how many more fish this tank could take, but i would like some more colour and i prefer larger fish (not tetra small).

Suggestions Please...

Hiya,

I don't know what you can put in but don't get neons!! I have been warned several times about angels eating the neons so you would end up losing them. I would probably go for something slightly bigger anyway depending on the size of your angels.

I currently have 3 small angels in with 4 gouramis, 3 bronze corys and 2 happy widdows and they all seem to get on ok.

Hope that helps

hmm 15 gallons really isnt that big and you cant really put that many fish of the large variety in it. why not concider getting a bigger tank? :D if you have the filtering and heating equipment then all you would need is the tank itself. hmm if you want colour why not tryone of the smaller species of L number plecs? im sure theres one species that stays small yet it colourful

2 Angel Fish and 2 Catfish in a 15 Gall. What type of Catfish are they?

Id say you are over stocked already going by the most common catfish is a Common Plec.

yeah, the angelfish will outgrow the tank with catfish in there. You are pretty slim on ideas here..I ran intot he same problem, so i bought a 20 gallon after, still not huge but you can fit a bit more in.

The most you should have in that tank is a pair of angels, that would be it. Breeders keep pairs of standard fin angels in 15 gallon tanks. This is a bare bottom tank, with nothing but the pair, with excellent maintenance. Anything beyond that is overstocked, I don't keep pairs in anything smaller than a 20 high.

Not sure what kind of catfish, but i have had them a year now and they are only about 4cm long each.

One angel doesn't belong in a 15G tank, never mind 2! The rule of thumb for angels is 20G for the first one and 10G each thereafter.

angles need about 10 gallons of territory PER FISH!!!! there is no rule of thumb for angles vic... but it is RECOMMENDED that you get a larger tank such as a 29gallon before your angles grow too large for it... a 20 gallon tanks isn't even recommended for an angle fish!!!! 29 minimum for 3 angles maximum! good luck and I'd say upgrade before your beautiful angles die :byebye:
