£15 for 10kg of fine sand

I'm looking through eBay, looking for sand and I found a great deal, 10kg of fine sand for only £14.99!:

That is a pretty good deal.... You can get even more sand for cheaper if you go with Play Sand or Pool Filter Sand.... I got a 50lb bag of Pool Filter Sand for around $10.00 USD at Walmart.

I don't need 50lb of sand, and I'm looking for a fine sand for kuhli loaches that I would love to get and I'm also looking into getting that much sand to make it 6cm high for my amazon sands. That should do it.

If not, I suggest you buy play sand. It’s cheap and it looks great/natural.

You may be able to order it online. You literally get 50 pounds of sand for $5.

Beach sand is calcium based and will raise the pH to about 8.5.
River sand won't change the pH.

It’s against the law to take sand from the beach in U.K. now I believe. When I was a kid in the 70s half the people on the beach were filling buckets for play pits and fish tanks.....not now.

I agree, and the beach sand could cause a huge pH swing in my tank.. which I don't want..
