Very nice use of wood. Should look even nicer when some algae grows on it and softens the look furthur. Have you thought of attaching any Java fern? That would look great IMO (but I am a plant geek!)
--Over-stocking on plants is always better than understocking.
--Do your research on how different plants grow-- some plants will out grow certain parts of the tank; for instance that sword is going to get way to big for the foreground if it is kept healthy.
--The foreground is what makes or breaks the composition. An aquarium often looks unattractive or does not meet its potential because not enough attention is paid to the foreground plants; the small plants in front that highlight the tank.
Personally, I'd add some kind of red plant, that is either quick growing, really tall or a floating plant so that you get some colour and it fills out along the top!
I think you have abn amzing tank, and like Chook, I want to be a fish in your tank!
Thanks everyone for you help, we really want to get the plants back into the tank, we have done all the aquascaping just need to buy some plants, I will post some pic either tonight or tommorrow.
Well as I said we are still waiting for some plants to go in, other than that we are really pleased with the results. not the bestest pictures in the world though.
Thanks very much. we are very pleased with it, to the right we kept the bog wood quite thick so there are lots of places to swim in and out and lots of places to hide, on the left side we wanted a more open area, but they have a slate cave there which the albino shark loves.
Just realised one of the cats is on the rank in one of those pictures. he he he
