My babies are all pretty cool, about three weeks ago i did have 63 but my african dawrf frog got in the breeding net and had a meal out of my babies so now i only have 12
but the frog did not live through the meal, i guess he ate too much (not that i'm too sad, he ate so many babies)
I have alot of fish in my tank and i am feeling very protective of my baby mollies
so i was wondering if anyone had any advice on how long is too long to keep the mollies in the net... when i release them i don't want them to become food for the other fish,
I have a 60 gallon tank and i have 8 neon tetra, 6 lemon tetra, 4 tiger barbs (kinda mean barbs too), 4 swordtail, 6 wagtail platties, 4 adult balloon mollies (ones six months old, had him since birth), 1 angel fish, a 12 year old lepord placto who's 33cm long (came with the tank when i got it) and a 12cm placto.
I don't think i forgot anybody.... but i have a couple live plants and couple fake ones and few cave like rocks,
so i do have 3 good sized baby breeding nets and i have 4 fry in each .....how long do you think i could leave them in there while they grow a little bigger? (they are 3 weeks old today, and about 8 mm long)
If you have and advice i'd really appreaciate it!!
thanks

Hi jenni182

With the angel in the tank, you are going to have to wait intil they are quite a bit larger, other wise they will end up as a nice snack for the angel. I would say about 1/2" +

thanks for your help, i will prob leave them in for a while longer just to be on the safe side, but i don't wanna leave them for too long to be cruel, seems like jail being in a breeding net
thanks for your advice
jen

yes dirty.. all of them can breed

ex... a balloon can mate w/ a dalmation! or
a black molly can mate w/ a sailfin!
