I think Wal-Mart has a sale on them you can get a 4 pack in my area for 1.50 it's on Clearance. I'll probably get a few packs tonight since I will be moving pretty soon.
 
theres things called hot hands that skiers and snowboarders use........
 
I don't know of anything that will stay hot for longer than 24hours.
Your best bet is to buy a small styrofoam cooler, put a few of those hot hands in there. seal it up good, stuff it in the box and mail it off, do this all at the post office.
 
Not sure you're going to be able to find anything but those HotHands locally. Aquabid.com always has heat packs in the shipping section, most of the time you can message a seller and order a smaller number than they have up for auction if you want.
