How do you make a metal stand? Umm you buy a arc welder and metal tubes.

Angle iron, with holes drilled for small bolts. The advantage over welding is that you can break it down & store it in your garage like me until you find the time to reseal a 5 foot tank that's been sitting in the basement for a year. Welding equipment is more expensive than screws, and it's easy to fry your retinas or other body parts.
