the plan for the aquarium cabinet I will be making over the next few days. I will upload photos as i go along so you can see the cabinet progress and taking shape. the wood is pine and will be stained a warm oak with matt black iron work for handles, brackets and stud work. it will encase 2 x 210L tanks which mirror each others aquascape creating an overall effect. as the front of the tanks are bowed again this will be a feature rather than a plain flat front finish. all drawers are not cosmetic but fully functioning to store all the bits and bobs i need for the tanks. the over all size is 10ft x 4ft. the ironwork will be matt black and all electrics safely enclosed and with a drip loop . the tops above each tank will be sunker to give a flush finish but also removable to allow full access when cleaning etc.

I cannot post pictures on this website as I dont know how to resize etc so have included a link to the photo diary I am doing on my Facebook page.

A couple of things you might want to consider: when watching TV, especially if the rest of the room is dark, the tank lights are a pain. I imagine it would be worse if the tanks are right next to it as well!

I know only very few people who don't eventually switch to external filters on tanks that big: if you wanted to go for externals, where would the filters go?

So excited to follow this!!!!

Think this is going to be fantastic!!! :hyper:

I am completely blind so I dont use the TV just the sound through the cinema system.

I also use internal filters and never used external. the tanks have been running now for 2 months and working brilliantly so will stick to internal

If you want to send me the pictures as you take them I don't mind posting them up on the forum for you hun? :)
