100% Nitrate Removal

Found a resurch lab in Los Almos that are resurching into Nitrate removal (100%) from water with any parameters and that leaves water safe for any perpous including fishkeeping

This is the equation;

NO3 + Zn +H2NSO3H = N2 + SO4 + Zn + 2H2O

Think it goes the nitrate rich water is mixed with the compound (H2NSO3H) in a chemical reacter where the N2 is relised into the atmospher this is passed into a Electroyic cell where the compound is attracted to the Zn rods and the Denitarfied water is relised!!

Sounds like an over engineered way of doing the same thing as a reed bed.

As the saying goes: "An engineer will find 100 different ways of putting a nail into a piece of wood, of which none will be as cheap or as easy as using a hammer."
