10 Gallon Tank Water Changes

I have an API Freshwater Master test kit? Im sure when i checked them a few days after testing they were both 20ppm!?

I might just do weekly changes anyway, wont do any harm eh?

I say absolutely do weekly water changes. They are the underpinning cause of happy, vibrant, colourful and healthy fish in my opinion, and i wouldn't be without them.

Some people keep successful tanks with less frequent changes, but why take the risk, i say?

I suppose you could say a water change for the fish is the equivalent of someone coming to your town / village and removing all the polution from the air, and then doing it again the next week, and the next, and the next............

Certainly won't hurt, will it?

I personally change around 30% twice per week, and my fish love me for it.

Cheers :good:

they're actually happier living alone, it's the nature of the species, don't judge them by our standards, in the wild they are solitary fish.

I thought the same thing, but my Betta was very happy in the 10 gallon tank with all my other fishes. Unfortunately he was picking on one of the Balloon Mollies, so back to his bowl he had to go.

Now he looks SOOOooo bored. :(

Iso back to his bowl he had to go.

if you actually have it in a bowl that could be the reason. I had mine in a bowl when i first got it which didnt have alot of space no heater or filter and my betta wasnt very active. But since i wised up and moved it to a 2.5 gallon tank with filter and heater my betta is much more active.
